ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Held between April 26 – May 17, 2025, this exhibition brings together the works of nine artists—Artin Demirci, Bahri Genç, Mahir Güven, Oğuz Haşlakoğlu, Horasan, Ayşegül İzer, Alev Mavitan, Emre Senan, and Özlem Üner—each with a distinct artistic practice. It emphasizes art’s potential to bridge individual narratives with universal meanings.
Each artist in the exhibition presents a unique artistic language and aesthetic approach. These diverse perspectives enrich and reinforce the central theme of “intersecting traces.” Although the works may appear independent, they converge on a shared intellectual ground. This foundation embodies the transformative power of art—turning personal creativity into a universal narrative.
This artistic dialogue among the works is also reflected in the exhibition’s curatorial approach. The placement of the artworks detaches them from conventional contexts and carries them into a new narrative dimension. The traces on each artist’s canvas, when gathered on the gallery walls, not only tell individual stories but also generate new meanings and associations—both through their interrelations and their connection to artistic predecessors.
“Intersecting Traces” transcends the idea of art as a mere tool for personal expression, becoming a platform where the aesthetic and thematic paths of nine artists converge.
