Curated by the esteemed Ayşegül İzer, Pre-Truth will take place between January 25 – February 22, 2025.Featuring artists who stand out with their interdisciplinary approaches and unique expressive languages, the exhibition invites viewers on a layered and profound journey through artistic narratives.
Truth is not merely the sum of what we see and know. It is an illusion—lost in time, reshaped by dreams, and rebuilt through stories. Truth takes form through echoes of the past, bending between memories and images to gain new shapes. Sometimes it hides within a fairy tale, sometimes in the finest detail of a brushstroke.
Pre-Truth offers a journey that invites viewers to transcend the limits of perception. Fantastic imagery opens the door to a narrative where dream and reality intertwine. Colors and forms move beyond the familiar, drawing the viewer into a timeless world. Here, every flower, every wave, every flicker of light carries meaning—whispering the story behind the visible.
Like a sequence of visual metaphors, the artworks unlock different layers in the viewer’s memory. The fragility of humankind’s relationship with nature is reinterpreted through the enchanted world of fairytales. When the eye surrenders to imagination, the molds of reality begin to dissolve. As we question our bonds with truth, we journey together into what lies before it—into that magical moment hidden in dreams and stories.
