What remains to us from time?
Millions of years lie in our past, yet our personal history is but a speck.
Still we still long to be remembered, to leave an emotional trace,
to prove that we existed.
That is why I chose these used, old porcelain plates.
Some once adorned walls, others once graced dining tables.
They stood on the margins of a story or at its very heart.
Some are hand-painted, others carry marks of damage,
yet all have resisted time.
And now they are ready for new stories.
Because, much like us, they can resist the passage of time
as long as they don’t break. /veya as long as they remain unbroken.
